PromptSmith Lab uses prepaid Practice Credits instead of a monthly subscription.
Practice Credit Bundles
Purchasing a bundle adds credits to your account. These credits represent a time-limited educational license that grants you access to our lessons, benchmarking tools, and AI-integrated sandbox.
- Starter Pack: $5.00 = 500 Credits
- Standard Pack: $10.00 = 1,000 Credits
- Pro Pack: $15.00 = 1,500 Credits
How Credits are Used
Credits are deducted each time you run a prompt in the Lab. The charge is based on three factors:
- AI Model Cost: Different models have different costs. Charges are based on the selected model's standard usage rate.
- Platform Fee: A 15% platform fee is added to the model cost. This covers payment processing, taxes, and transaction operations.
- Flat Lab Fee: A flat $0.05 (5 Credits) is added to each run to support hosting, lesson maintenance, and ongoing platform development.
Minimum Charge: The minimum charge for a single run is 5 Credits ($0.05).
Billing Rules
- Pre-Run Estimate: You will see an estimated credit charge before you click "Run," but the final charge may be higher or lower based on actual token usage.
- Usage-Based Billing: Final charges are based on model token usage plus the fees listed above.
- Safety Buffer: The system requires a small balance buffer before a run to ensure there are enough credits if the AI provides a longer-than-expected response.
- Credit Validity: Credits represent an access license valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
- Final Sale: Because your purchase immediately reserves computational power and grants access to our educational tools, all credit bundle purchases are final and non-refundable.
Payments: All orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. PromptSmith Lab does not store your credit card details.
